Is now the time to strike? This is approaching “good deal” territory if all is as it appears.

So that’s the 3.0 or 3.4?
![]() 07/21/2016 at 22:04 |

3.4

Was it over priced or did they find something wrong with it

The mysteries of life (also Milton is a town in the middle of nowhere so they are at a disadvantage there)

Don’t like the look of that truck (my unwanted opinion)

Your opinion is not unpopular. But I drove an SR5 for work a few months many moons ago and it wsd very pleasant.

There is a Milton here and it’s very dense and expensive

T100s had a lot of issues when they came out, got a lot of bad press. That’s why they moved to the Tundra name with the 2nd generation. Lots of bed problems and rust. do your research before going after it.

A bit roll-overy? I have always lusted for a top of the line SW4, but they have a tendency to be scary on windy roads.
My last wildcard: Get a Subaru Baja as your work truck.

I knew a kid in middle school named Milton. His uncle was an ex-NFL player.

Why not spend the money on making the Celica nicer?
![]() 07/21/2016 at 22:33 |

Are you saying my Celica isn’t nice enough?

I wouldn’t be picked up for a date in it.

That’s because you’re shallow.

The majority of their bad press was being labeled as a “7/8" pickup compared to F150s and such, with their no-man’s land sizing that is now occupied by modern Tacomas, Colorados, and Frontiers. Early ones also had the notorious (though “really not so bad”) 3.0s. Even when they changed to the 2.7 and 3.4, you could get those motors in the Tacoma, which was better received and an objectively better pickup. Complaints about rust always come from those in areas that produce rusty cars. In the PNW, I can find vehicles for sale that people on here say they haven’t seen in over a decade on the road due to their climate. It’s something I always look for but is never a real problem.

I’d take multiple OK cars over one nice one. It’s called sickness. Plus T100 does things Celica can’t...and likewise.

bed beats back seat...date machine!

Geez. My jealousy continues. Anyone selling that in the Carolinas would be asking 7 or 8.

also press re: the bed holding up. personal example- my boss at the time bought a new one (diehard Toyota guy) and had the bed break off carrying a refrigerator. Crazy. traded in for a 4runner and then sequoyah but admitted the T100 was a flub.

Yeah the wheel-base length is kind of, “Hmm... why.” It looks like way too much of the bed is hanging behind the rear axel than it should be.
